We use PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), a high-quality, environmentally friendly plating method that’s 10x more durable than traditional gold plating. That means your jewellery won’t fade — no matter how often you swim, sweat or shower in it.

This advanced technique involves bonding a thin layer of 14k recycled gold or silver onto stainless steel in a vacuum environment. It’s the same process trusted by luxury watchmakers like Tag Heuer and Chanel for its superior resilience and finish.

Unlike traditional plating, PVD creates minimal waste and avoids harsh chemicals — making it a better choice for the planet. While it’s more expensive to produce, we don’t believe in industry markups — so we keep our prices fair, without compromising on quality.

Every LUCID piece is finished with ProtectaClear®, a nearly invisible, skin-safe coating that prevents tarnish, oxidation, and fading.

This final layer acts as a protective barrier between the metal and your skin — making our jewellery hypoallergenic and long-lasting, even with daily wear.
