I lost my mum when I was young.
Some of the clearest memories I have of her are tied to her jewellery — how she lived in it, every day, without ceremony.
LUCID was born from that idea: jewellery made to move with you, through ordinary days, big changes, and everything in between.
I grew up between Northern Ireland and Scotland before settling in Belgium nearly twenty years ago. Living across cultures gave me a sense of belonging everywhere — and a story without borders.
With Antwerp’s diamond district on my doorstep, jewellery was never far away. But traditional stores felt intimidating, while the affordable options felt impersonal and uninspired.
I imagined something in between: jewellery that’s accessible yet enduring. Pieces designed for everyday wear, not to be saved for special occasions. Pieces with meaning — thoughtful to gift, personal to wear — and created with respect for the makers, the environment, and the community.
